  • Seal Coating is a thin asphaltic treatment used to protect pavement surfaces from UV radiation and oxidation along with general wear and tear. Seal coating containing asphaltic or coal tar emulision fillers, sand, polymer latex, fibers and pigments, depending on the application.

What is Seal Coating used for?

  • Seal coat makes a smooth and attractive surface that resists aging and protects the valuable pavement below. Seal Coat may be used on parkinglots, walkways, driveways and roofing in certain circumstances.

How does the Seal Coating process work?

  • Seal Coating is applied via a purpose built unit that sprays the material in one motion, it may also be applied by brush. Surface preparation is important meaning crackfilling and patching first. Weed-killing and cleaning oil spots is most important. Seal Coat may be applied over hot mix, or chip seal.
